How EV Solutions helps with Global warming and Greenhouse gas Reduction

Switching to an Electric Vehicle can have a major effect on how much emissions we produce and contribute to global warming and is perhaps the greatest move mankind can make to decrease their carbon footprint.

Here’s a frequently asked question people generally ask – “How many cleaners are the Electric Vehicles when compared to fuel or gasoline controlled vehicles? The recent stats confirm that driving an Electrically Charged Vehicle emits far fewer emissions than vehicles powered by gasoline or other traditional fuel and with improving technology the EVs are getting better over time.

The calculations of emissions for Electric vehicles include both Power plant emissions and emissions from the coal, natural gas, and other traditional fuels used in various power plants across the country. After looking at the stats provided by Argonne National Laboratory and US EPA in Jan 2020, it’s clear that an average Electric Vehicle is emitting less Global Warming Emissions when compared to a new average traditional fuel vehicle in the entire US. Moreover, in some parts around the US Electric Vehicles produce 7 times lower Global Warming Emissions when compared to traditionally powered fuel vehicles.

The average Electric Vehicle is far much cleaner when compared to the average new fuel car anywhere in the USA. However, if you will go for the most efficient Electric Vehicle then your global warming emissions will be much lower than a traditional vehicle powered by gasoline. For example, if you are driving a Tesla Model 3 Standard Range Plus 2020, then you will have emissions less than a fifth of the global warming emissions when compared to a new gasoline car.

Tesla Model 3 Standard Range Plus 2020

So, as the electric production grid will continue to produce clean electricity, both new and old Electric Vehicles will get cleaner as well. Electric Vehicles have one distinct advantage over their gasoline counterparts: That their emissions will get cleaner over time with improvements in the electricity production grid. Also, gasoline vehicles fuel efficiency is unchanged and so is their global warming emissions, as they rely on petroleum as their primary fuel option.

Electric Vehicles and Transportation Emissions:

As we know that trucks and cars are one of the most significant sources of global warming emissions around the US. So, if we will switch from gasoline to cleaner fuel such as Electric Vehicles will produce far much lower emissions and help us in avoiding bad impacts on our climate. But we know as this is one of the many solutions we have in hand, as in the next five years we will see a large number of gasoline cars to be produced. So, we need to ensure that these vehicles use modern technology to be as clean as possible.

In addition, we can share our rides, use of public transport as much as we can, will help people to walk easier and to use bikes around the cities. These are small but very important steps we can take to reduce the bad impacts on our climate.

Load Balancing – Smart Energy Management by Noodoe

During this Electrification era Transport sector has been growing exponentially. Due to which we have seen a large number of electric vehicles on roads. In addition, this has proved to be an opportunity for business owners to keep up with the ever-increasing demand of charging electric vehicles. The business owners of many EV Charging stations have discovered major impediments related to the framework that was created in the pre-electrification era.

The biggest problem is the pre-electrification era design of parking structures, which were not able to provide enough power to charge up Electric Vehicles.
This problem is two-fold:

1. Power panel boxes installed are not efficient to provide enough power simultaneously to large number of EV Charging stations.

2. The electric companies may not be immediately ready to source enough power to these EV charging stations without fundamental change in their design. However, this change either could be very expensive or is not possible at all.

Therefore, Load Balancing can help to solve this problem of fulfilling enough power to all EV charging stations via Smart Energy Management service offered by Noodoe Corporation.

What is Load Balancing?

Load Balancing enables you to install number of EV Charging stations with an unaffected electric capacity. Under this process, electricity is distributed among all Electric vehicles equally.

How Load Balancing works via Smart Energy Management from Noodoe Corp?

Without Noodoe EV Smart Energy Management, although this location has more spots available, it is only able to install four 32A* charging stations due to the limits of the electrical capacity of 160A at the existing site.

Let us understand this with an example that how Noodoe’s EV Smart Energy Management allows for installing 6 EV charging stations by dynamically shifting energy to vehicles that need it most, while constantly monitoring and maintaining the total load under the limit of the electrical panel.

f:id:noodoecorp:20200613070852j:plain

1. In the image above it is clear when the first EV comes in, it will be charged with full 1 power of 32A.

2. When additional EVs comes in – 2nd EV, 3rd EV, and fourth EV, they are all charged at full power of 32A. The system at this point is drawing the full available power for charging EVs.

3. However, as the fifth EV comes to the picture, the Smart Energy Management starts to kick in. With this innovative Noodoe’s Technology the output for each EV is calculated and adjusted to provide equal power (26A) to every vehicle and help the electric power to stay within the limit of the electric panel. Here, the Noodoe EV smart management system sends the important instructions to the EV chargers, it continues to dynamically monitor the consumption rate of each charger to ensure compliance, and makes any essential changes in real time to ensure that each Electric Vehicle is charged to the optimum and side by side keeping the total output under the limit of 160A.

4. As and when the sixth EV arrives and charged simultaneously with other 5 EVs, the output to each EV will be calculated again and dropped to 22A. Noodoe EV Smart Energy Management continue to monitor the power consumption and adjusts the output accordingly as more energy becomes available when other chargers complete energy transfer.

5. When Noodoe EV Smart Energy Management detects that an EV is fully charged and no longer requires power, e.g. when the first EV is charged fully and leaves, Noodoe’s Smart Energy Management System will increase the energy output from 22A to 26A across the remaining five charging vehicles automatically.

Key Features:

• Utilizes smart algorithms and intelligent monitoring of chargers to balance their electrical usage while ensuring that total electrical output stays within safe range.

• Eliminates the need for electrical upgrades.

• Doesn’t require additional physical wiring for implementation.

• Optimizes the usage of available power from the utility, while protecting the local electrical systems from dangers of overloading even when multiple chargers are being used simultaneously.

• Offers flexible implementation options to suit your ideal number of chargers.

The American Lung Association ranked California last in entire US for 17 of 18 years for air quality. This ranking was before the ongoing and un-controlled forest fires across continents. Still today, California is the most polluted state for air quality. Also, as per the American Lung Association “over 80% of Californians live in zones with undesirable air and more than 7,000 kick the bucket every year from introduction to air contamination”. The main reason of this is brought about by the ozone (brown haze) and molecule contamination from vehicle discharges.

California is likewise dedicated to change from petroleum fuel to electric to meet its objective of diminishing carbon discharges by 40% by 2030.

What’s more, California is one of the 11 states within the US that are a part of the ZEV (Zero Emissions Vehicles) Program. Under this program, automakers will guarantee that a specific percent of all vehicles they sell in the state are (ZEVs are generally electric vehicles). Right now, the necessity is for 2.5% ZEVs.

So, make sure to get benefits from the rebates, by driving an EV (Electric Vehicle) rather than a petroleum-powered vehicle as by doing so you are doing a great help for the mother earth and the health of all Californians as a whole.
